Orlando Citrus Bowl Ceremony
Mayor Dyer joined Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, City Commissioners, representatives from Florida Citrus Sports and construction workers on June 4 to celebrate reaching the midpoint of precast concrete bowl construction, an important milestone in the reconstruction of the Orlando Citrus Bowl stadium.
Soccer Stadium Announcement
On June 10, Mayor Dyer, Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs and Orlando City Soccer Club President Phil Rawlins unveiled the renderings for the new Downtown soccer stadium set to open prior to the 2016 Major League Soccer season.
District 4 Summer Safety Series
Mayor Dyer, District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan and Police Chief John Mina hosted a Summer Safety Series event on June 10 at the Beardall Senior Center, providing residents an opportunity to meet directly with the Chief and learn more about how to partner with the City to fight crime.
Stand Up to Cancer Baton Pass
Mayor Dyer and Siemens launched the Central Florida leg of a campaign called “The Baton Pass,” that raises funds for Stand Up to Cancer, on June 12 at City Hall.

On June 12 at the Amway Center, Mayor Dyer spoke at the 2014 Urban Land Institute Summit about the development of the Community Venues and their transformative impact on Downtown Orlando.
Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Feature Schedule Announcement
Mayor Dyer helped the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announce its inaugural feature schedule on June 12. The schedule includes the Jazz Roots series, performances from the Orlando Ballet and many other concerts and shows.
