Many of our neighborhood leaders recently attended the 18th annual Florida Neighborhood Conference here in Orlando. The conference provides statewide leadership opportunities to residents who work to enhance their communities. These volunteers guide neighborhood organizations, helping enforce community rules and regulations and planning events.
The City of Orlando has more than 350 neighborhood organizations that we partner with to keep our neighborhoods strong, safe and sustainable. Strong and healthy neighborhoods are critical to a vibrant and livable city.
Our Neighborhood Relations team is here to assist residents and neighborhood organizations by connecting them to City resources and leadership and volunteer training. One resource is iLead, which provides leaders with the tools to inform, connect and involve their neighbors through a series of workshops.
Community leaders and organizations help keep our neighborhoods great places to live and raise a family. For more information about how you can get involved, contact the Neighborhood Relations Office at 407.246.2169 or visit CityofOrlando.net.
