Orlando’s Main Street districts have garnered national attention in major publications like USA Today and Forbes for their unique mix of restaurants, shops and nightlife.
Recently, the owner of the historic Cameo Theatre building, located in the Mills 50 District, was provided with financial assistance through the City’s Small Business Façade Program to recreate the building’s original theatre marquee sign from the 1940s. Tonight, the new sign will be lit for the first time.
The Small Business Façade Program was put in place to assist businesses and commercial property owners with improvements to their façades such as lighting, signage and landscaping. Projects such as the recreation of the original Cameo Theatre marquee sign connect our city to its history.
Our small businesses are thriving and it is important to provide our support so that residents and visitors can continue to enjoy each of their distinctive characteristics for years to come.
