Our community has experienced much tragedy and loss over the last seven months, but our resilience has allowed us to persevere. We have shown that Orlando is a place for everyone, regardless of their race, religion or sexual orientation, and acts of violence against those values will not change who we inherently are as a community. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. preached a message of love, acceptance and social justice. He preached a message of community and looking out for one another. It is fitting that in both good times and bad, we have leaders like Dr. King to look to for guidance and inspiration.
Thank you to all of those who have attended events, volunteered for service projects, and given their time to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy.
