Mayor’s Talks & Tours
The Talks and Tours program offers neighborhood leaders an opportunity to meet with Mayor Dyer and learn about City programs, initiatives and polices and then participate in an interactive tour that showcases the topics discussed.
To recognize volunteers who have a significant impact on the well-being of our community, Mayor Dyer has created the Neighborhood Champion and Community Builder Awards, which are awarded annually.
ORLANDO CARES engages volunteers in programs that help youth improve their academic success, increase their literacy skills, plan viable career choices and avoid the juvenile justice system. In our plan, we have created volunteer opportunities that impact educational outcomes and contribute to the well-being of our community.
What’s Up Downtown is an opportunity to learn more about the exciting developments and initiatives happening in and planned for Downtown Orlando. The event typically happens the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the Downtown Orlando Information Center.
