The Mayor’s City Academy is a 10-week program that engages residents with their City government and highlights some of the services that are offered. Every spring, we pick a group of City residents to take a backstage journey that showcases many of the opportunities the City of Orlando has to offer.
As a participant in the program, you will take part in real life situations such as field demonstrations and department tours. You will tour the Amway Center, Orlando City Hall, Fire Station 1 and more. Participating in the academy will give you a new perspective and stronger sense of pride in your community. The Mayor’s City Academy will also connect you with numerous opportunities to stay involved, including City boards and the City volunteer program.
The deadline to submit an application for this free opportunity is Saturday, February 1. The 2014 Mayor’s City Academy will begin on Thursday, February 27. For more information and to complete an online application, click here.
