The Office of Multicultural Affairs reflects Mayor Dyer’s commitment to providing the diverse ethnic community of Orlando with the most comprehensive information of the services provided by the City to its residents. We are the leaders in the creation and implementation of outreach initiatives that serve the needs and concerns of multicultural communities.
This office supports the City’s Economic Development Department on offering bilingual assistance to existing minority businesses and newcomers with information of the City business resources. We also offer guidance to foreign entrepreneurs who want to establish, relocate and expand their businesses to Orlando.
We act as the Mayor’s Hispanic spokesperson to Central Florida’s Spanish and Portuguese media outlets and social media to maintain a high level of communication with Latino residents.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs supports the City’s Hispanic Office for Local Assistance (HOLA), which offers information in multiple languages to our residents and visitors about government aid, housing, education, recreational parks, higher education institutions and many other services. For more information of HOLA, please click on Cityoforlando.net/HOLA or call 407.254.HOLA (4652).
Likewise, the office collaborates with other multicultural communities that contribute to the economic, cultural and philanthropic development of our city, such as Asian, Arab, Muslim, Brazilian, LGBTQ and others.
It is an honor to work alongside Mayor Dyer to continue fostering the inclusion, respect and acceptance of all our residents and visitors regardless of gender, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or gender identity.
