Black History Month

Black History Month

Festivities | Black History Month Youth Essay | Sponsorship Opportunities

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and City Commissioners will host the annual City of Orlando’s Black History Month on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 to celebrate the African American culture and contributions.

This year’s Black History Month theme, “Black Migrations” emphasizes the movement of people of African descent to new destinations and subsequently to new social realities. While inclusive of earlier centuries, this theme focuses especially on the twentieth century through today.
