Luis M. Martínez, Director of Multicultural Affairs

Luis was appointed by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer as Director of Multicultural Affairs, an executive position that enhances the engagement of the Hispanic and multicultural communities, businesses and residents with the municipality. In addition, Martinez serves as the Mayor’s Hispanic Spokesperson to local Hispanic/Brazilian media and assists the City’s Economic Development Department promoting Orlando as a destination for investment, relocation and expansion of businesses from Latin America to Orlando. Luis also serves as the Mayor’s Liaison to the LGBT community concerns and issues, as well as enhances the engagement and representation of LGBT constituents and organizations with City services, programs and events. Luis earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Sacred Heart of Puerto Rico and a MBA from Ana G. Mendez University System, in Orlando, Florida.
