Orlando Mayor Dyer and BLUEPRINT Worker Host Media at the Newly Completed Citrus Bowl Plaza Deck
WHAT:
This Wednesday, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, along with Takesha Graham, who received work through the City’s BLUEPRINT Employment Office on the Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium, will showcase the newly poured 20,000 square-foot plaza deck.
The new plaza deck will be an iconic feature of the stadium providing a place where fans with any price ticket will be able to meet with other fans and enjoy views of the action on the field and an open view of scenic Lake Lorna Doone.
At the video opportunity, the media will have opportunities to interview Takesha, one of the workers who poured and smoothed the cement to complete the new plaza deck. Through the BLUEPRINT initiative, 165 individuals have been hired to work on the Orlando Citrus Bowl reconstruction project. To date, MWBE participation is at 37% with more than $60 million in contracts awarded to MWBE firms.

**Appropriate construction attire is required to access the event. Please wear long pants or jeans, sleeved-shirt and sneakers (no dresses, shorts, skirts, open-toed shoes or heels). Hard hats, vests and safety glasses will be provided. Attendees not in appropriate construction attire will not be admitted.
**Attendees will need to sign a waiver before entrance to the construction area will be permitted. The form is attached for your convenience. No exceptions.**

Please see attached map. Press parking is located in Lot A on the north side of Church Street. Upon parking, media should proceed to the Construction Trailer where all safety equipment will be supplied and distributed.
