Orlando Mayor Dyer and District 6 City Commissioner Samuel B. Ings Celebrate Completion of the North International Drive Improvement Project
Mayor Dyer and District 6 City Commissioner Samuel B. Ings will celebrate the completion of the North International Drive Improvement Project on Thursday, December 18, just in time for the busy holiday shopping season.
The 1.5 mile long project improves pedestrian safety in the area and helps to relieve traffic congestion in one of Orlando’s busiest corridors. The project, from Universal Boulevard to Oak Ridge Road, incorporates a series of multimodal improvements that provide for existing traffic and future growth. Improvements included the construction of an exclusive lane for buses and right turns, new bike lanes, new 10-foot wide sidewalks, and streetscape elements.
