Office of Business and Financial Services

The Office of Business & Financial Services safeguards the assets and manages the financial affairs of the City including revenue collection, real estate, cash disbursements, accounting and financial reporting, investments, debt management and risk management.

  • Maintains reasonable internal controls to protect the City’s assets and ensure the timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with accounting standards for state and local governments.
  • Provides services that support the operations of City Departments.
  • Manages the City’s investment and debt portfolios in such a manner as to achieve the highest possible investment return with stringent safeguards, and reduce the annual and total cost of the City’s debt.
  • Provides timely advice to the City’s elected and appointed officials on issues affecting the current and future financial affairs of the City.
