Orlando Cares, Mayor Buddy Dyer’s Cities of Service Initiative, address two key community challenges- Improving Youth Literacy and Increasing Community Safety- by mobilizing citizens as volunteers who make service a part of the solution. Through a collaborative process, hundreds of stakeholders helped design Orlando Cares. Primarily funded with a Cities of Service Impact Volunteering Grant, Orlando Cares is a partnership with the Corporation for National Community Service. Adult volunteers are needed to enhance the education of our city’s youth and increase the cardiac save rate of our residents. To volunteer, call the Office of Community Affairs and Human Relations at 407.246.2500 or click the ‘Get Involved’ tab.
