Lake Nona includes neighborhoods, businesses, parks, amenities, schools and a
community passionate about healthy, sustainable living. The development of the
Lake Nona community traces as far back as 1986, when the Lake Nona Golf &
Country Club opened. Ten years later, in 1996, the development was purchased by
the Tavistock Group.
Lake Nona is comprised of six different neighborhoods that each offers a different
collection of amenities. In 1998, the Tavistock Group began expanding the Lake
Nona community by building the NorthLake Park neighborhood. The NorthLake
Park neighborhood is located in the northern part of Lake Nona near the
elementary school and YMCA. The neighborhood offers single and multi-family
homes. This expansive neighborhood is home to an elementary school, YMCA,
walking trails, sports fields and a dog park.
NorthLake Park is located in District 1 and the Commissioner is Jim Gray.
