Media Parking

The City of Orlando aims to make covering news at City Hall and the Orange County Courthouse as easy as possible for members of the media. All media spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

Media Parking Permits

Marked media vehicles may park in the designated media parking areas. Reporters who utilize a personal and/or unmarked vehicle will need to display a Media Parking Permit from the City of Orlando Parking Division.  For more information or to apply for your Media Parking Permit, please contact Valerie Trammel at 407.246.4126 or stop by the Parking Division office located at 53 W. Central Blvd.

City Hall Media Parking:

Both live trucks and other media vehicles may use the designated parking in front of Orlando City Hall on Orange Avenue if available.  Additional media parking is located on the Parking Garage Loading Dock off Boone Avenue.  All the spaces are clearly marked and designated as media parking. The loading dock hours are 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.  If it is after hours and access is needed for loading dock parking, please contact  City Hall Security at 407.246.2311.

Additional parking for media vehicles being used to transmit a live signal only is available along the curb in the semi-circle behind City Hall.  This area is clearly marked and designated as media parking.

Media vehicles may also park in any of the metered spots that are available in front of Orlando City Hall on Orange Avenue and in the City Hall Parking Garage off Boone Avenue.  Standard rates and time limits will apply to both metered and garage parking.

Courthouse Media Parking:

There are two areas designated for Media parking at the Orange County Courthouse.

The first area is on the west side of Orange Avenue mid-block between Livingston Street and Amelia Street. These are on-street spaces clearly marked and designated for Media Parking.

The second area is the drop-off area directly in front of the Courthouse.  This area is reserved for media vehicles being used to transmit a live signal only.

Both live trucks and other media vehicles may also park in any of the metered spots that are available.  Standard rates and time limits apply to utilize the metered parking spots.
