Renewal of Freight Loading and Unloading Permits

Return to Freight Zone / Freight Permit

August 3, 2010

Attn:         Orlando Florida Loading-Unloading Permit Holders

Subject:   Renewal of Freight Loading and Unloading Permits

We will begin issuing the 2010-2011 Freight Loading and Unloading permits. The cost will be $70 plus sales tax ($74.55) for the first permit and $30 plus sales tax (31.95) for each additional permit. There will be a $10 plus sales tax replacement fee for any lost permit. To obtain Freight Permit applications, you can visit our office @ 53 West Central Blvd or go to our Webpage @www.cityoforlando.net/transportation/parking; this will take you to the Parking Home Page.  Go to EZ Print Documents”.  Go to “Freight Permit Application”.  This will provide you with the documents needed for your Freight Loading and Unloading application, print and complete.

Keep your current plate affixed to your vehicle if you plan to renew. An updated sticker will be issued to replace the current sticker on your plate.

Permits will only be issued to those persons or businesses, which have an actual need to engage in the loading and unloading of freight. Freight permits are not parking permits and will only be honored when the vehicle is being actively used in the transaction of loading/unloading for a maximum time limit of 30 minutes.  Permits will be honored only in designated freight loading areas. Permits are not transferable, non-refundable, and must be conspicuously displayed on the rear of the registered vehicle at all times.

Because of the tremendous growth and demand in downtown Orlando for loading and unloading freight, it is imperative that all freight permit holders adhere to the guidelines as listed above.  Failure to do so could result in a parking citation being issued and revocation of the permit.

Secondary permits are issued to company registered/owned vehicles only.

If you have any questions, please contact our office  at (407) 246-2450.
