Bill Frederick Park covers 183 acres of land alongside Turkey Lake, one of the top-five rated fishing lakes in the state of Florida.  The park is designed for nature lovers and provides families, organizations and community groups with several recreational activities and scenic views. Minutes away from some of Orlando’s largest attractions, Bill Frederick Park also serves as the perfect alternative to hotel lodging. So whether you’re looking for a day full of fun or an entire weekend full of activities, Bill Frederick Park is the place to be.

Bill Frederick Park Weekend Family Camp Out

Friday, March 17 – Sunday, March 19, 2017

Looking for something to do with your family that will get you closer to nature? Come out and reconnect as a family for three days at our weekend camp. Each family will stay in one of our cabins or pitch a family tent at our primitive campground. You can bring your own tent or use our tents, but bring your own camping and sleeping gear.

Our staff and experts will offer a freshwater fishing clinic, boating in Jon boats, canoeing, kayaking, and disc golfing. Families can also enjoy the park amenities on their own which include volleyball courts, three disc golf courses, ball field, fishing piers, hiking, bird watching, biking or exploring the nature connect trail. Special night programs include Astronomy and family campfire music.

The cost is $200 and includes four meals. Preregistration is required and online registration begins on Monday, February 27. To reserve the cabin call the park office at (407) 246-4486.

Holi Festival

The Indian Horizons of Florida Organization is putting on a celebration of music and colored powder for Phagwah or the Holi Festival. Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated in India and Nepal, also known as the “festival of colours” or the “festival of love”. The Hatchling Dash 5K

Get Your Rear in Gear 5K

Their signature Get Your Rear in Gear and Tour de Tush event series are volunteer-driven in communities throughout the United States. In 2016 alone they granted nearly $1 million to local community programs that will raise screening rates, increase awareness, and educate the public about the signs and symptoms of this disease. Cancellation Policy For All Reservations

  • Cancellations made the same day of making a reservation will be refunded in full.
  • Cancellations made prior to 72 hours of the date of the event will be subjected to a 25% administrative fee, not to exceed $25.00.
  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the date of the event, all fees and charges will be forfeited.
