Crew Booster of Winter Park Regatta

Saturday and Sunday, April 7 – April 8, 2018

The Crew Boosters of Winter Park, Inc. is a charitable, educational, non-profit corporation created to promote rowing as a sport at Winter Park High School at all levels of interest. Through the active participation of its members, Crew Boosters provides equipment and related items necessary for carrying on the sport of rowing (crew) and the coaching needed.

Sunday, is the Jake Snyder Middle School Regatta and is open to programs composed only of rowers and coxswains who are middle school students. Races are held on a 1,000-meter course with stake boats or start platforms. Medals are awarded to the winning boat in each flight. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded to the fastest boats in each event, regardless of flight. At the conclusion of races, the Jake Snyder Awards are announced at a brief ceremony.

LSU Alumni of Central Florida – Annual Crawfish Boil

The primary purpose the local chapter of Louisiana State University is to raise funds for their scholarship fund. They recently reached our $40,000 Flagship Scholarship Goal. The Flagship Scholarship will provide a Full Tuition Paid Scholarship each and every year going forward to a local Central Florida High School Student who meets the academic requirements. The typical student who qualifies for the Flagship Scholarship will most likely receive other additional scholarship funding through the various LSU foundations in their Freshman year and beyond if they maintain the required GPA

Great American Bacon Race 5K and 1K for Kids

A bacon lovers 5k run series. Featuring multiple bacon stations throughout the course and the “Bacon Bash” after party. National Stuttering Association 5K

 Join us for the first Orlando Don’t Tell Me to ‘Slow Down’ 5K run/walk benefitting people who stutter and the NSA! Prader Willi Florida Association, On the Move Walk

Prader–Willi syndrome (PWS) is a genetic disorder due to loss of function of specific genes. In newborns symptoms include weak muscles, poor feeding, and slow development. Beginning in childhood the person becomes constantly hungry which often leads to obesity and type 2 diabetes. There is also typically mild to moderate intellectual impairment and behavioral problems. Colon Cancer 5k, Get Your Rear in Gear

Come out and join us at our upcoming 5k charity event is May 20, 2018 at Bill Frederick Park. 100% of fundraised money is invested locally to raise awareness and screening levels. Fundraising efforts will go a long way to providing colon cancer education, prevention, and patient support programs in our Central Florida area. Enjoy post-run refreshments, t- shirts for all participants, and marathon quality medals for age group winners. Awards for the Most Creative Team, Largest Team, Top Individual and Top Team Fundraisers, will be given at the event. The day includes the opportunity to honor survivors and remember those lost to colon cancer. Cancellation Policy For All Reservations

  • Cancellations made the same day of making a reservation will be refunded in full.
  • Cancellations made prior to 72 hours of the date of the event will be subjected to a 25% administrative fee, not to exceed $25.00.
  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the date of the event, all fees and charges will be forfeited.
