Residential Developers –
The Orlando City Council has approved a Park Impact Fee, a fee assessed on new residential development that will serve as a dedicated funding source to bring new parks and recreational facilities to benefit our residents.
The fee for each new single family home is $966 and for each new multi-family unit is $825. Based on current growth projections, this will generate $2.2 million annually to be used to bring new and enhanced parks and recreational facilities to the City.
The City of Orlando’s Permitting Services Division recommends residential developers submit their plans for review no later than January 1, 2017 to allow adequate time for issuance of foundation and/or building permits before the Park Impact Fee goes into effect on March 1, 2017.
