Special Events
Are you planning a special event on City property or
private property? If so, please be aware that you may need certain
permits in order to hold an event in the City limits. Most special event
permit applications are handled by the City of Orlando Police
Department. Below is a list of
special event permits handled by the
City’s Police Department. For specific questions, please contact the
Special Events Coordinator at 407.246.3661.

Block Party Permit Required
when a Neighborhood Association or a group of neighbors want to have
a block party in front of their homes.

Fireworks Permit - Required for
any fireworks (pyrotechnics) display.

Outdoor Loudspeaker Permit -
Required when any amplified device is to be used outside on city
property or private property.

Outdoor Public Assembly Permit -
Required when any event, of 100 or more people, is taking place
on city property or will impede a City roadway.

Special Aeronautical Permit -
Required when helicopters will be within the city limits, at any
one location, for any length of time (i.e. helicopter rides,
installing air conditioning units on buildings, etc.).
