Bicycle
Lanes are
sections of roadway reserved exclusively for bicycle use. They are
designated by signs, striping and bicycle-shaped pavement symbols.
Bicycle
Parking is a
dedicated area specifically suited for storing and locking a
bicycle. Bicycle parking areas are required per the City’s Land
Development Code.
Bicycle
Routes are streets
which are well suited to bicycling, but do not have pavement
markings. They are generally residential streets.
The majority of the City’s streets are not designated as
bike routes, although all City streets are open to bicycling.
Multi-Use
Trails
are off street facilities
open to everyone except motorized vehicles. They can be used
for commuting and recreation. They usually connect residential
areas with activity centers.
