
Board of Zoning Adjustment
The Board of Zoning
Adjustment (BZA) reviews and recommends action to the City Council
on the following types of items:

Zoning
variances
-
Appeals of:
-
Modifications of Development Standards requests;
-
any
requirement, order, decision or determination made by
the Appearance Review Officer; and
-
appeal of
Zoning Official Determinations.
All
recommendations and decisions of the Board are subject to
the review and approval of the City Council.
The BZA is an advisory board to City Council comprised of
citizen members who voluntarily and without compensation
devote their time and talents to a variety of zoning issues
in the community.
The BZA consists of 9 members nominated by the Mayor and
confirmed by the City Council, with at
least four members representing land planning, architecture,
landscape architecture, graphic design or commercial art,
urban design, or interior design.
