Centennial Building Commemorative Awards Program

2013 Centennial Awards
Eligibility
-
Up to 10 commemorative awards are
available per year.
-
Building must be turning 100
years or older in the year that the award is given.
-
The building must display
historic and architectural integrity.
-
The building must be well
maintained.
Nomination Procedure
Completed nomination forms should be submitted to
the Historic Preservation Officer between January and March. Awards
(including plaques and proclamations) will be given once a year in
April, and will be distributed at a City Council presentation.
Awards Selection Committee
The nominations will be selected by a panel
comprised of the Centennial Awards Subcommittee of the Historic
Preservation Board.
Entry Submittal Requirements

2013 Nomination Form

Nomination should be submitted by
the property owner, or written permission from the
property owner shall be provided.

Written description that details
the age of the building and the known history of the
building, including any known alterations or changes
to the building since its construction.

Supporting documentation on the
age of the building and the changes over the years.
This may include the master site file, property
appraiser’s records, historical photographs, etc.

One copy of photos of existing
house and property (a minimum of one image showing
each of the four sides of the house shall be
submitted). Interior shots may be included.

An electronic copy of the
supporting materials on CD or emailed with property
address labeled and JPEG images.
Submittal Deadline
Completed applications must be received by
Friday, March 22, 2013 at 5 p.m.
