2012 Historic Preservation  Board Calendar

This year’s competition showcased the Lake Ivanhoe Historic Residential District. The district was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the by the United States Department of the Interior on December 20, 2010.  The Lake Ivanhoe Historic Residential District is a part of the College Park neighborhood.  For more information on the Calendar, and where you can pick up a copy click here.

Historic Walking Tours of Downtown  


             

What: Free guided walking tour of Downtown Orlando’s Historic District

When: Monthly on the first Friday of the month through May (see dates below).

               **Please note December date is on the second Friday of the month.**

Tour starts at 9:30 am and usually takes about 1½ hours.

·         February 3, 2012

·         March 2, 2012

·         April 6, 2012

·         May 4, 2011

Where: Tour starts at the Downtown Information Center, 201 S. Orange Ave.

Who: The tour will be led by Richard Forbes, Historic Preservation Officer for the City of Orlando.
