About the 2014 Calendar:
The City of
Orlando has produced the popular
Historic Preservation Board Calendar
and photo competition since 1991 as
a depiction of Orlando’s treasured
historic resources. The 2014
Historic Preservation Board calendar
celebrates the Rosemere Historic
Residential District, one of
Orlando’s National Register of
Historic Places Districts. From
being developed by a future Florida
Senator in the 1920s to being split
from the rest of the neighborhood by
I-4 in the 1960s this small historic
district has a unique history that
has been recognized at the national
level. The district was placed on
the National Register of Historic
Places by the United States
Department of the Interior on
October 21, 2009.
