Land is a limited resource; therefore it is imperative that Orlando grows in the most efficient manner possible. Urban Infill encourages “coziness” as an alternative to urban sprawl. Higher densities with complimentary design are favored as ways to create recognizable places, reduce vehicle miles traveled and promote alternative transportation modes, such as walking, bicycling and transit. Combined, these factors can not only reduce the potential carbon footprint of new development but also contribute to the vibrancy of our community. |
