Landscape Uses
Gaillardia provides splashes of color to the landscape.  Plant the flowers in large groups and try to use a mixture of colors.  Gaillardia is a good cutting plant and will last for about a week.

Propagation
Gaillardia should re-seed itself.  After a year, extend the life of your plant by cutting it back.  Do not cut below the green wood.

Fun Facts
The name Gaillardia pulchella comes from two sources.  Gaillardia is for Gaillard de Marentaneau, who was a patron of botany.  Pulchella is Latin for pretty, which describes this wonderful Florida native.
