Landscape Uses
Dwarf Powderpuff has a number of virtues.  It attracts hummingbirds; the flower buds resemble raspberries and the leaves close up at night or during a drought.  The profuse fragrant blooms add to this shrubs popularity.

Fun Facts
Calliandra comes from two Greek words, kalos meaning beautiful and andros, a stamen.  Combined calliandra refers to the striking flower.  The common name refers to the plants whimsical red and pink flowers.
