Landscape Uses
Japanese Privet is a very popular understory accent tree that required little care, other than pruning, to maintain its desired shape.  This variety of Ligustrum is very versatile.  When planted in groups, it can be used as a solid hedge.  Planted as a single plant, it can be shaped into a topiary.

Propagation
Seeds

Pests
White fly and sooty mold if planted in the shade and too close together.

Special Notes
To limit its spreading will require removing the prettiest part of the tree, its flowers and berries.
