National Night Out 2013 (NNO) is coming!!!
Orlando’s National
Night Out News
1. Congratulations
Orlando! The National Association of Town Watch has ranked Orlando #3 in the
nation among cities with similar populations. This ranking is based on the
quality of our 2012 NNO campaign. Thank you to all the City of Orlando residents
who helped make this possible.
2. Congratulations to the 2012 Theme Contest Winners: 1st place and
$300.00 – Julie Sanchez of the Metrowest Masters Association; 2nd place and
$200.00 – Lonnie Cook of Park Lake Highland Neighborhood Association; 3rd place
and $100.00 – Juanita Vincent of Carver Shores. In addition to their cash prize,
each of these winners received a visit from the NNO Caravan which included Mayor
Buddy Dyer, Police Chief Paul Rooney, Fire Chief John Miller and the

3. Congratulations to
Julie Sanchez and the Metrowest Masters Association for receiving The NNO
All
Star Award in 2012. This is given annually by the National Association of
Town Watch to honor individuals, organizations or programs for outstanding
participation, leadership and/or assistance during the National Night Out
campaign. Metrowest Masters Association has received this honor two years in a
row.

NNO digital photos. Please be sure to include the name of your neighborhood
with each picture and provide us with your name and mailing address. E-mail

• You do not have to close
your street to have a successful National Night Out Event. Many groups
meet in yards, parks, vacant lots, churches or inside their home or clubhouse.
To register your event, call 407-246-2369 or register online.
• You may register your event
until Monday, August 1, 2013 but, to ensure that you receive a NNO party package
and a visit from your City Commissioner and your local OPD Patrol Officer, you
must register by July 15, 2013. If you register by July 8, 2013, your Party
Package will be delivered to the address on your application.
