Officer Kate Glenn

Kate Glenn joined the Orlando Police Department on 10/26/97 as a sworn police officer. Prior to that, Kate worked at the Oviedo Police Department as a sworn police officer and spent time in Patrol and worked as a School Resource Officer. Kate left the Oviedo Police Department for the Orlando Police Department because she was looking for a larger agency that offered more career opportunities as well as an enhanced salary. Since becoming an officer with our department, Kate has spent time in Patrol, has worked in the Recruiting Unit, the Economic Crimes Unit, and has been a Field Training Officer (training new officers).

Officer Glenn earned her Associates Degree from Valencia Community College.

Officer Glenn is a single mother with one daughter. Her hobbies include spending time with her daughter, looking at antiques, baking, and cooking. When asked what she would like to pass on to females interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement, Officer Glenn stated, “You meet people at their worst and while having contact with them, you are able to try and help them through their worst situations.”
