Farm Workers Association Immigration Rally-
Lake Eola Park (NE side of Park)
MAY 1, 2007
The Farm Workers Association
has organized an event that will take place in the NE quadrant of Lake Eola Park
on Tuesday, May 1st, 2007. The event will take place from 1100 A.M.
and 3:00 PM. Unknown traffic and possible road closures may affect normal
business operations in the downtown Orlando area.
Representatives from City Hall
and the Orlando Police Department are working jointly with the event organizers.
As a result, the Orlando Police Department has developed an operational plan and
allocated the manpower necessary to ensure public safety during this event.
No violence or unruly crowds are anticipated. Individuals not participating
in this march should be mindful that this event is a lawful First Amendment
exercise.
