Event: Juvenile-Probation Verifications with Department of Juvenile Justice

Summary:
The Orlando Police Department SRO’s (School Resource Officers) and officers from DJJ (Department of Juvenile Justice) partnered to conduct probation verification of those juveniles living in the City of Orlando. The purpose of the checks was to ensure the juveniles were in compliance with the stipulations of their probation.

The results were as follows for the 2 day operation:


• Juvenile Probation Packets to check 62
• Juvenile Probation checked 52
• Juvenile who were in violation of their court ordered probation 20
• Arrests 6
• % of total violated 38%

(Of the 52 juveniles checked, 20 were in violation. 6 of those twenty were arrested.
DJJ is going to do violations of probation on the remaining twelve.)
