CITY OF ORLANDO ILLEGAL GUN BOUNTY PROGRAM

As part of Mayor’s Dyer’s commitment to public safety, the City of Orlando is launching a new Illegal Gun Bounty Program. This program will be administered through Central Florida Crimeline in an effort to generate additional arrests and to get illegal guns off our streets.

The Illegal Gun Bounty Program is simple:
1. Call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS, and anonymously provide information on a crime or suspicious activity.
2. Information that leads to an arrest, a gun recovery and a weapons charge will result in a cash reward. All rewards and tips will be handled within the policy and procedures of the Central Florida Crimeline and its Board of Directors.
3. Citizens who meet those three requirements are eligible for a reward of $1000

Funding
The initial funding for the Illegal Gun Bounty Program is from the law enforcement trust fund, which is comprised of money seized from drug dealers.

Mayor Dyer is encouraging local businesses to be a part of the solution by financially supporting the Illegal Gun Bounty Program. If you are interested in making a tax deductible donation please contact Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477.
