Arrests warrants have been obtained charging the
following individuals with 2 counts of First Degree Murder and 1 count of Second

UPDATE#1
The 3rd victim of the homicide has been positively identified and the next of
kin has been notified.

Location: 1444 Mercy Drive (Palms Apartments)
Incident: Homicide
SUMMARY
On 7/30/08, at approximately 5:00 pm, patrol responded to the Palms Apartments
located at 1444 Mercy Drive #177 in reference to shots fired. Upon their
arrival, the officers found three male subjects unconscious and unresponsive
inside the apartment. Orlando Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced
all three subjects deceased at the scene.
The first victim has been positively identified as
Cedric Garrett, B/M 11/20/89. The second victim has been positively identified
as Carlos Patterson, B/M 2/17/92. The third victim has not been positively
identified yet. When identification has been confirmed, his information will be
released after next of kin has been notified.
There are multiple leads being followed up on at
this time. The investigation is ongoing and any significant updates will be
provided as soon as they are available.
