City of Orlando and Orlando Police Department announce Deputy Chief of Police Appointment:

 

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Chief Val B. Demings are proud to announce the appointment of Larry Zwieg to the rank of Deputy Chief. Deputy Chief Zwieg is a 22 year veteran of the Orlando Police Department. He has served in the Patrol Division, the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, and on the Chief's Staff. Most recently, Deputy Chief Zwieg served as the Division Commander of the Drug Enforcement Division. This appointment was necessary as Deputy Chief Karin Weaver recently retired.

As a result of Zwieg’s promotion, additional promotions were also made throughout the police department, those include:

Lieutenant Gary Hayes
Lieutenant Eric Smith
Captain Isiah White
