OPD COP Program Participates in Oviedo Law Enforcement Vehicle Auto Show

On January 23, the Orlando Police Department Citizen Observer Program was invited to participate in the Fifth Annual Oviedo Law Enforcement Vehicle Auto Show. The show drew all types of vehicles from area law enforcement agencies. OPD's Citizen Observer Program vehicle won first place in the category of Community/Citizen On Patrol vehicles.

The Citizen Observer Program consists of trained uniformed volunteers driving marked vehicles and reporting situations via police radio. Observers also provide valuable assistance to sworn officers by canvassing areas and distributing flyers.

To find out more information about how you could volunteer, please contact Sonya Robinson at 407.246.3939.
