School Resource Officer Program

OPD Resource Officer

The School Resource Officer Program provides full-time, on-site police services to all of the Orange County Public middle and high schools within City limits. Our SuperKids program has specially trained officers providing curriculum to elementary school students.

The officers working in high schools and middle schools have created and implemented a progressive and innovative program called Responsibility Matters. Responsibility Matters focuses on personal responsibility, recognizing a bad situation and making the right choices. It begins with students understanding that responsibility to their family, school and community starts with themselves.

The goal of the program is to instill in students they must take personal ownership of their choices and those made now will determine their future.
