This office has restricted hours and is not staffed on a full time basis. In the
event the Lake Nona Community Police Office is closed, please consider the
Southeast Community Police Office, which is located at 6207 Pershing Avenue.
GENERAL INFORMATION
 In
an effort to provide the citizens of Orlando with more expedient and efficient
service, the Orlando Police Department has moved in a new direction by
decentralizing patrol and establishing the Lake Nona Community Police Office,
located at 10727 Narcoossee Road. The primary goals of the Lake Nona Community
Police Office are to enhance service to the community and better utilize police
resources.
The Lake Nona Community Police Office
will accommodate Kilo sector patrol functions 24 hours a day, and will have
limited access to the public from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
(staffing permitted). Response times to calls for service will be reduced with
officers no longer having to travel from the downtown police headquarters.
Instead, officers will now be traveling from the Lake Nona Community Police
Office or from within the Kilo Sector itself. This will increase accessibility
and responsiveness to residents and business owners in the Lake Nona Community.
In addition, citizens will be provided with more convenient access to police
services rather than having to drive to police headquarters downtown. Police
visibility will also increase within the community, giving residents and
business owners increased security.
The implementation of the Lake Nona
Community Police Office will enhance community support of the Orlando Police
Department due to the proximity of the office to the community. The Orlando
Police Department has reinforced its commitment to the Community Oriented
Policing philosophy, and will continue to provide expedient and efficient
service to the citizens of Orlando.
