Stormwater Utility
Public Outreach Programs and
Volunteer Opportunities
The Division works with
neighborhood associations, schools, and local businesses for the purpose of informing our
community about how we can reduce the pollutant loadings into our lakes.
Articles are written for neighborhood newsletters, attendance at
neighborhood meetings is requested, programs are presented to classrooms,
and displays are presented at various weekend activities. It is believed
that an aware public can become a strong element in the pollution
solution.
Brochures have been created to address
general and specific concerns. Topics ranging from lawn clippings and
leaves to vehicle service fluids have been incorporated into pamphlets
which are mailed to City residents and businesses. Below are links
to articles of interest, outreach programs and volunteer opportunities
offered through the Stormwater Division.
