Weather Station Description

The weather stations are approximately ten feet in height with a ten-foot mast and two feet in diameter. They are anchored into the ground about two feet and secured with concrete. These stations record rainfall and water level using a pressure transducer. There are no electrical components; the stations operate off a 12-volt battery that is recharged by a solar panel attached to the mast. The data is transmitted and captured at the Stormwater Section's office. The weather station shown above is located at Lake Como. Most of the stations are painted green. See locations
