Let Us Take The Risk Out Of Handling Your Obsolete Electronics

Rest assured that your IT equipment, including computers, monitors, televisions, phone systems and cell phones will be managed responsibly. Our secure environmentally sound methods eliminate any worry about retiring your unwanted equipment. Our certificates of recycling and chain of custody remove your liability and potential exposure to lawsuits, fines and negative publicity from contamination to our land, air or water or from information getting into the wrong hands. We protect you from the potential dangers of electronic waste disposal because we recycle electronic equipment in accordance with all laws and regulations and lead the industry in innovative methods of electronic equipment recycling.

Data Security

Computers, printers, fax machines, cell phones and other electronic equipment contain a library of data. Laws such as the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act hold companies and organizations responsible for protecting the information about their customers and employees. “Delete” is simply not enough. While “Delete” can remove a file from sight and allow it to be written over, it does not destroy information. Data is only gone once it has been written over completely. Creative Recycling Systems’ data sanitization methods exceed U.S. Department of Defense specifications for security and electronics disposal. You can trust us to securely remove your company’s proprietary information and assure your compliance with privacy laws.

Environmental Responsibility

Our state-of-the-art recycling equipment shreds and separates electronics into their original material of plastics, steel, aluminum, precious metals, and glass. An advanced filtering system insures that it does so without any harmful air emissions. Creative Recycling is leading the industry in developing and utilizing new uses for these commodities and preventing any electronic waste from entering landfills. This gives us the capacity to handle the deluge of TV’s, cell phones and other electronic scrap that are quickly made obsolete by the introduction of High Definition TV and numerous rapid advances in technology. Preventing the disposal of IT equipment through responsible recycling is our number one goal, and this guarantees you that you are not only complying with laws but also doing the right thing for the earth.

"Recycling televisions and other electronics allows for the recovery of electronic components that contain lead and other toxic materials," said Mary Jean Yon, DEP’s Director of Waste Management. "Recycling is good for the environment and the reuse of resources makes good economic sense."

With our ever changing technology, it is important to prevent an influx of electronic waste in Florida’s landfills.  The Department of Environmental Protection and City of Orlando is encouraging consumers to look for ways to reuse and recycle unwanted televisions and other electronics. There are many options to recycle unwanted televisions at no cost to most consumers; including:

1st, Think How You Can Reuse:

2nd, Recycle (year round locations):

A-1 Assets, Inc., is a local company that will accept electronics from residents and business.  A1 will recycles old electronics, as well as other items.  Minor fees may apply or there may be no charge at all or you may get credit!  A-1 Assets is located at 1100 Charles Street in Longwood, FL 32750.  Drop off is Monday through Friday between 10am and 5pm.  They also offer pick up service for those who have too much.  Call  407.339.7030  or visit a1assets.com for more information and items accepted.

Televisions and other electronic items that are broken or can no longer be used can still be recycled in an environmentally-friendly manner. To make it easier to recycle old electronics, DEP has produced an interactive web-based map that enables residents to find out where to recycle.

DEP’s electronics recycling web site also links to a frequently asked questions page that explains what the television broadcast signal conversion is, how to tell whether your television is "digital-ready." (click here)

Thank you for doing the right thing!
