service in these areas and comply with Growth Management legislation.
Provide assistance and timely and efficient
review of all development plans relative to Public Works issues to ensure
that development occurs within the framework of City Code, established
City policies and accepted engineering practices.
Review, permit and inspect right-of-way
utilization activities to minimize impacts to the public and ensure
contractors are in compliance with City Code.
Provide a variety of survey services to
City users within established time frames at a competitive cost, and
review privately submitted survey data for conformity to statutory
standards, and local ordinances.
Produce and maintain accurate City, plat,
storm drainage, sanitary sewer and street numbering maps through the use
of CAD. Maintain other historical records of Public Works projects
necessary to meet the needs of the public and City users.
Emphasize customer service by responding
promptly and courteously to inquiries from the public and City users.
Replace manual records by
building and maintaining the City's computerized base map and related
alpha-numeric databases. Provide citizens and City users with automated
map products and the ability to quickly and accurately retrieve data by
specifying a geographic location. City GIS also supplies this important
data for the Emergency systems (such as 911, Police and Fire departments).
