Keep Orlando Beautiful

Founded in 1987, Keep Orlando Beautiful, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and certified as an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc.  The program is administered by the City of Orlando's Streets and Stormwater Division of the Public Works Department.  In our twenty year history, we have accomplished many worthwhile projects to keep Orlando "The City Beautiful" including a strong School Environmental Club program and numerous community cleanup and beautification events.

  • Awarded $3,000 prize from Keep Florida Beautiful for having outstanding volunteer participation in Great American Cleanup-1999

  • Won 2nd place award in nation for Keep America Beautiful Month 1998

  • Won 1st place award in state for Great Florida Cleanup 1998

  • Won 2nd place in Mid/High School category for Keep America Beautiful in 1992

Other Accomplishments-

  • One of 28 cities in the nation selected to participate in Cigarette Litter Prevention program - 2005

  • One of eight cities in the nation selected to receive free trash receptacles through an urban litter study grant provided by Philip Morris and Keep America Beautiful, Inc. - 1999

  • Featured in a nationally televised public service announcement produced by the NBA about our "Dunk the Junk" program - 1999.
