Keep Orlando Beautiful, Inc. and SeaWorld Orlando are the proud sponsors of the School Environmental Club Program.  At the beginning of each school year, Keep Orlando Beautiful coordinates the Environmental Education Resource Expo at Leu Gardens.  This year's sponsor for the Expo was Paper Retriever...thank you!  Faculty from any private, public or charter school in Orange County that has a focus on the environment is invited to the Expo.  The Expo contains many local exhibitors that offer environmental education programs at no or very low cost.  Some exhibitors this year included Project Learning Tree, Florida Youth Conservation Networks, Turtle and Tortoise Club and Orange County Public School's recycling coordinator...just to name a few. Teachers and faculty learned of important programs while enjoying refreshments.  Giveaways and door prizes also added to the event.  Look for the 2012-2013 Expo to come along in October of 2012!  You don't want to miss it.

At the Expo and leading up to it, Keep Orlando Beautiful offers schools to join the School Environmental Club Program which promotes good environmental citizenship to students.  Clubs are asked to meet at least monthly and set a goal.  At the end of the year, students, parents and faculty are invited to a reception where the Clubs present a project board on how they achieved their goal.  The boards are voted on during the reception and the winning Club receives a special education experience at SeaWorld Orlando!  2nd, 3rd and an honorable mention receives monetary awards for their hard work.  Click here for program summary
