November 7, 2011 Update

ARCADIS will begin the first injection of the in-situ Chemox portion of the remedy (north of Brookhaven) during the week of November 7, 2011. This will likely last 1-2 weeks.
ARCADIS will complete another round of injections of the enhanced bio system that is installed underneath the baseball field during early December 2011.
The second phase of monitoring well installation around the perimeter of the contaminant plume is scheduled to begin on December 6, 2011 and complete it by December 16, 2011.

July Monthly Progress Report
The enhanced reductive dechlorination (ERD) system installation was completed in June 2011. Startup of the system began in August 2011.
The in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) construction will occur in September and injections will occur in late 2011.

The thermal treatment remedy will begin in the Spring of 2012.

During the week of February 21, 2011, EPA plans to begin installing
monitoring wells in the areas described on page 3 of the May 2010
Project Update Fact Sheet. Installation of the monitoring wells is
expected to take 2-3 weeks.

Fall, 2010 Update:
Injection wells are currently being installed through November.
The ERD (enhanced reductive dechlorination) installation will be complete by February, 2011, with startup of the system soon after.
The ISCO (in-situ chemical oxidation) injection will occur later in 2011.
The thermal treatment will begin in the Fall of 2011.
