Stormwater Utility
Stormwater Education and
Volunteer Opportunities
The Division works with
neighborhood associations, schools, and local businesses for the purpose of informing our
community about how we can reduce the pollutant loadings into our lakes.
Articles are written for neighborhood newsletters, attendance at
neighborhood meetings is requested, programs are presented to classrooms,
and displays are presented at various weekend activities. It is believed
that an aware public can become a strong element in the pollution
solution.
Brochures have been created to address
general and specific concerns. Topics ranging from "the problem with lawn clippings and
leaves" to business Best Management Practices and Pet Waste "Poo-llution"
have been incorporated into pamphlets and postcards which are
distributed to City residents and businesses. Literature,
speakers and collateral material are offered to City residents at no
cost. Contact Katie
Kulbaba for any of the offerings below.
