No Dumping! Drains to Lake

Storm inlet signs are an ongoing effort to broaden the awareness of stormwater runoff by seeking volunteer groups to help install small signs on curbside storm inlets. These signs read "NO DUMPING, DRAINS TO LAKE."  Volunteers are being asked to identify a street or neighborhood they wish to install the signs. They will be provided signs, safety vests, maps, and installation kits with all supplies needed to fasten the signs to the inlet. City staff will provide a demonstration on how to install them, and a brief lesson on stormwater pollution sources.

This is a great project for boy or girl scout troops, neighborhood associations, or students needing community service hours.
