Gainesville Field Trip
Friday, September 20 | 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost: $40
Join us on a trip to Gainesville.  Begin with a light breakfast at Beardall and then board the bus no later than 8:00 a.m. to visit  a trifecta of museums, Harm Museum of Art and Florida Museum of Natural History with the amazing Butterfly Rainforest.  Lunch will be after the museums visit at Ruby Tuesdays.  Price of $40 includes breakfast, round trip transportation, museums entrance and lunch.  Deadline for payment is September 13 or when the bus is full.  Check with the office for lunch menu choices.  Bus will return at approximately 4:00 p.m.

Fall Prevention Workshop

Are you finding yourself losing your balance?  Stumbling while walking?  Tripping more often?  Whether you have had several falls or are just worried about the possibility, this is the course for you!  In this one hour interactive workshop, you will learn the most common factors that lead to a fall, as well as ways you can protect yourself and prevent a fall.  Come ready to move – there will be a short balance and exercise session at the end.  Sponsored by Ability Rehabilitation.

AARP Driver Safety Program

  • 2nd Saturday of every month at 10 a.m
  • Cost: $15 (members) and $20 (non-members)

Classes last all day so please bring a lunch. Make checks or money orders payable to AARP. Certificate of completion is good for a possible car insurance discount – renewable every three years. Call 407.246.4440 to reserve a seat in the class.
