|SEIU White Collar Non-Exempt|
|Performs routine clerical, customer service and manual work in the production, storage and retrieval of microfilmed documents in accordance with City's records retention schedule. Employee operates various pieces of equipment in the production of microfilm. Employee may be required to do some heavy lifting. Work is performed under the direct supervision of Records and Archives Supervisor and is reviewed for timeliness and accuracy in accordance with structured guidelines.|
|Organizes documents in alphabetical/numerical order and prepares them for microfilming; assigns records management numbers to rolls of film and maintains index for easy retrieval.
Inspects finished microfilm to ensure proper copying and shreds original documents once duplicated.
Handles customer requests and questions regarding city records.
Operates microfilm camera to reproduce permanent city records on microfilm.
Retrieves records from inactive storage upon request by departments; answers questions regarding records retention. Collects inactive records from departments and delivers to Records Management for storage.
Maintains assigned equipment and assists with the microfilming process.
May be required to operate City vehicle to transport records/documents.
Performs other related work.
|Basic knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
Skill in the operation and adjustment of microfilm camera, and microfiche reader/printer.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Ability to verbally provide information correctly and concisely.
Ability to lift 30?35 lb. boxes and climb ladders to store and retrieve documents.
|High school graduate and six (6) months of general office experience. Florida drivers license prior to employment.|
