|TRANSPORTATION FEE COORDINATOR|

|Performs highly responsible planning work administering the Transportation Impact Fee (TIF) Program for the City. An employee in this position is responsible for coordinating the collection and expenditure of all transportation impact fees and other transportation monies.|
|Negotiates with development representative relative to all Transportation Impact Fee (TIF) issues including credits, analysis of alternative fee calculations, scheduling and interpretation of TIF ordinance.
Coordinates all City TIF efforts with consultants, other City departments and other governmental agencies to ensure program is operational and implemented properly.
Plans, reviews and coordinates all activities related to the administration of the City's TIF Program.
Evaluates land development proposals from a transportation work in the area of transportation planning, impact fee administration and related financial analysis.
Prepares clear and concise reports with sound recommendations, adequate supporting data and special exhibits.
Represents the City on technical advisory committees, civic, business, and professional organizations and at public hearings
Performs other duties as assigned.
|Knowledge of the principles of accounting and transportation planning.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with developers, departmental officials and the public.
Ability to plan and coordinate the work of others.
Ability to operate personal computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to detect and correct errors in written correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively in public and to express ideas clearly in writing.
Ability to convey and execute the City's philosophy related to Transportation Impact Fees (TIF).
|Bachelor's degree in City Planning, Transportation, Transportation Engineering or a related field and two (2) to three (3) years of transportation planning experience preferably including systems modeling and financing, or an equivalent combination of relating education, training and experience.
