|SEIU Supervisor Exempt|
|Responsible for the quality, quantity, and tracking and recording of intakes. Supervise charge approvals, recording, copying, and mailing of intakes of the Intake Unit and Personnel. Work is performed under the supervision of the Contract Compliance Officer and Supervisor and reviewed on a weekly basis.|
|Provide coverage for breaks and lunches of Intake Unit; ensure minimum waiting time for unit.
Provide pre and post charge counseling; conducts telephone counseling and obtains information from public on discrimination; counsels walk-ins and schedules appointments.
Provides notification to charging parties to ensure completion of complaint process.
Process all discrimination complaints and materials which include collection, recording, and copying.
Process completed forms and weekly transmittal of complaints to the Florida Commission on Human Relations.
Attends weekly staff meetings and updates Director and staff.
Process and input of framed charges into Automated Intake System.
Provides intake of T.A.; referrals from the Mayor's Office and Commissioner's Office.
|Knowledge of all Federal, State and Local Legislation on employment and housing discrimination.
Knowledge of the Intake Procedures of the EEOC/FCHR.
Knowledge of Social Service Agencies and basic operation of PC.
Ability to interview effectively.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to counsel irate persons who have lost employment or benefits.
|Bachelors Degree in Social Services or related field or experience. One (1) year experience in the interpretation and implementation of discrimination law.|
